Restorative Dentistry

Sometimes a tooth sustains severe trauma, and Dr. Butler can’t use a filling to fix the problem. In this case, he may suggest a crown to save your tooth. A crown, also called a cap, covers the entire tooth, which stabilizes remaining tooth structure and protects the tooth from further decay. Crowns can help preserve the integrity of your bite as well.

Dr. Butler will schedule you for two visits to fit and place your custom crown. At the first appointment, he will make a mold of your tooth and generate a temporary crown. Once we receive your crown in the office, you will return so that Dr. Butler can make any minor adjustments and permanently affix the crown into your mouth.

For ceramic, porcelain-fused-to-metal, or gold crowns, schedule a visit in our College Park dental office. We serve patients throughout the Atlanta area, including Union City, Riverdale, Fairburn, and East Point. Learn more about crowns in our library
